In 1985, A/ Galenbindunuwewa Central College achieved a significant milestone by transitioning into a central college, further enhancing its reputation as a hub of learning and intellectual growth. During the period from 1991 to 1995, despite challenges such as limited resources, the school demonstrated remarkable success with 11 students gaining admission to university in the science stream.
